An exclusive blog about how Redink Classroom enable teachers to identify students learning gaps and helps them support student success!

When you’re a teacher, the goal is to help your students learn and grow. But how do you do that if you don’t know how your students are doing or where they need more support.
We learned that this is a huge gap in the educational segment where the teachers are not provided the right tools to help them analyse and improve their teaching to support students!
And thats how we created Redink Gradebook for teachers - to help them keep track of their students’ progress, identify strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately close every student’s learning gaps easily.

What is Redink Gradebook?

The Redink Gradebook is a student monitoring platform where you can find all your students'
data in one place.
It allows you get an overview of your student profiles based on skills, grades ect., to track their individual student progress (i.e., see how students are progressing towards mastery) as well as assessments and grades for each course or class period in which they were enrolled during that time period.

How does Redink Gradebook for teachers help identify learning gaps?

As teachers starts using the gradebook regularly, through our student reports, they can monitor and track the learning gaps that exist in students throughout their school years. It simply means that, you can easily find out if students have learned their basics properly. That way, we can ensure that when they move to advanced classes, they will not have any problems in learning the difficult concepts.

So, to put it in simple terms, If there is a learning gap between expectations and reality—for example, if kid A knows more than expected but kid B doesn't—that's where you'll give extra attention until it disappears!

Actionable Indicators for every assessment!

As soon as an assessment is completed, all you have to do is upload the scores in our gradebook and your students will be evaluated in every skill based on their performance.

You can see how they did by assessing their colour-coded rating in that skill. Lets learn more about how our indicators help teachers to easily identify struggling students and understand their learning needs.

A colour-coded rating simply means that there are four levels of performance for each individual skill (and these categories correspond with their colour):

  • Dark greenDistinction
  • Green On Track
  • YellowAt Risk
  • Red Off Track
